AAP Project ECHO Opportunity!

The AAP is currently recruiting pediatric primary care practices to participate in several Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) programs. Project ECHO is a telementoring program designed to create communities of learners by bringing together health care providers and experts in topical areas using didactic and case-based presentations, fostering an "all learn, all teach" approach. Using videoconferencing technology, quality improvement methodology, clinical management tools, and case-based learning, health care providers develop knowledge and self-efficacy on diseases, conditions, and/or processes.

Call for Pediatric Practice Participation : apply online by December 18th AAP Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) Substance Use ECHO Project: The AAP SBIRT Substance Use ECHO program serves as an interactive forum for healthcare professionals to learn and implement best practices for addressing substance use, focusing on screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment, to improve the quality of care for patients (ages 11-21). This ECHO will incorporate quality improvement work and will meet monthly from January - August 2020. AAP Maternal- Infant Health and Opioid Use ECHO: This ECHO will serve as a forum for staff from pediatric primary care practices to implement clinical interventions to improve the health outcomes of families affected by prenatal opioid exposure. This ECHO will incorporate quality improvement work and will meet monthly from January to August 2020.
