Dr. Alexa Craig is a board certified in neonatal neurocritical care, child neurology and epilepsy and practices at MaineHealth as the Division Director of Pediatric Neurology. She has been actively engaged in research to improve the parent experience of neonatal neurocritical care as the principal investigator of several qualitative studies and clinical trials addressing trauma informed care delivery in the critical care setting with recent funding from the National Institutes of Health and the Health Service Research Administration. As the Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Pediatrics and the Director of the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital Scholars Academy Dr. Craig supports the research infrastructure within the department of Pediatrics through mentorship of junior investigators. She also started and runs the only cerebral palsy clinic in Maine and provides ongoing neurological care to her patients after NICU graduation.
