NICU hospitalization can be a profound source of stress for infants and caregivers, shaping regulation, attachment, and family well‑being long after discharge. NICU care teams play a critical role in recognizing, preventing, and mitigating traumatic stress during this time through intentional, trauma‑informed interactions and care practices. In this webinar, neonatologist Dena Hubbard, MD, FAAP and clinical psychologist Samantha Kucaj, PsyD will equip neonatologists and NICU care teams with trauma‑informed strategies to support families at the bedside, strengthen protective factors, and coordinate care that promotes confidence, connection, and early relational health from admission through discharge. The webinar will also include insights from a parent of NICU graduates, offering a lived-experience perspective on what supports families most during and after a NICU stay.
